Fan for a ball, circa 1880 Folded fan, the double sheet in skin painted with gouache of a young girl calling out to a musician in the center. Signed "Voisard". Birds, landscapes and musical trophies on the sides. Dumb reverse. Bone mount. Each strand has a number in gold from 1 to 17. On the plume is fixed a gilded brass pencil allowing to write on the strands the names of the riders for each dance. Inscription at the back of the plume referring to an English patent "REGD N° 467566". Gold-plated metal clasp. Tassel of trimmings. H.t. 24,5 cm - H.f. 14 cm (good condition) In a box covered with flowery paper, with a ribbon embroidery on the lid.
