The Partridge Offering, ca. 1770-1780 Folded fan, the skin sheet lined with paper and painted with gouache. In the shade of a tree, an elegant woman, in the company of children and companions, receives the tributes of a hunter who offers her a partridge. A hunter is resting on the left while a maid sets a table with a pie and a bottle of wine. Reverse: a young girl sitting in the grass while the sun sets on the horizon. Ivory frame finely cut, pierced, carved and engraved with a gallant scene with a captive love. The composition is underlined by sewn golden sequins. Paper decoration masking the silk threads on the reverse. H.t. 28,5 cm - H.f. 13,5 cm (wear, restorations) Provenance: label bearing the reference 1873 of the former collection Henry-René d'Allemagne (1863-1950).
