The Good Nurse, ca. 1780 Folded fan, the silk leaf painted in gouache after the work of Jean-Honoré Fragonard celebrating the joys of motherhood and the return to nature following the ideas in vogue among the urban elites at the end of the 18th century. Shepherd and shepherdesses on the sides. Cartels underlined with golden spangles. Decorated with trophies, vases and foliage on the reverse. Blond tortoiseshell frame finely pierced, cut, engraved and gilded with decoration of loves, nymphs, shepherds playing flute and children. H.t. 25,8 cm - H.f. 10,7 cm (restored, worn, leaf and guard sticks reduced) In a Chinese case, 19th century Provenance: label with the reference 1820 of the former collection Henry-René d'Allemagne (1863-1950).
