Pocket fan, circa 1780-1790 Rare fan with a folding system, to carry it in a pocket. By an original process, the strands pivot on themselves and allow to reduce the fan by half. The silk leaf is painted with a gallant scene in a country setting. The cartel bordered by flowers highlighted with gold chain stitch. Reverse painted in symmetry of blue and pink flowering branches. Mounted in engraved and gilded ivory decorated with a large bouquet of flowers. The plumes pierced, carved and gilded with a globe and a love. Gilded metal clasp. H.t. 28 cm - H.f. 12,3 cm (accidents) In a leather-covered case. Provenance: label with the reference 1829 of the former collection Henry-René d'Allemagne (1863-1950).
