Conter fleurette, circa 1750-1760 Folded fan, the double skin sheet painted with gouache of a gallant scene in a country setting based on Jean-Baptiste Pater's "L'amour et le badinage". Children playing with a dog on the left, with shepherds and sheep in the background. Rich border of shells and flowers hosting trophies of Love and Music in cartouches. On the reverse, riverside panorama with fisherman, shepherdess, and farm girl. Has kept its border painted with a flower. Original white mother-of-pearl mount pierced, burgued, engraved, gilded, and decorated with flowers and loves. H.t. 27 cm - H.f. 11,8 cm (restorations, wear)
