"L. de Bailliencourt", Les plaisirs chantants, circa 1890-1900 Folded fan, the cabretille leaf painted from a riverbank sheltering a gallant company listening to a flute player and a singer. Signed on the left "L. de Bailliencourt". Reverse side: "MH" figure in gold scrolls. Signature of the Parisian house "Alexandre". Burgundy mother-of-pearl frame pierced, engraved and gilded with flowers. Beer. H.t. 35.5 cm - H. f. 23.5 cm (freckles) In its original box covered with ivory silk "MH". Under the lid, the address of the fansmith Alexandre, 9 rue de Castiglione. N.B.: at the Georges-Petit gallery in Paris in 1911, Mlle de Bailliencourt exhibits miniatures on glass, described as "very pretty" by the newspaper "L'Intransigeant".
