The story of Telemachus, circa 1770-1780 Folded fan, the silk leaf painted with three cartels underlined with golden sequins. In the centre, Calypso is absorbed by the story of Telemachus' journey. Next to him, Mentor listens to him, like the following ones from the queen of the island of Naxos. On the left, an allegory of spring with its flower baskets, and on the right, that of autumn with the bunches of grapes. Reverse in skin, decorated with bunches of roses. Ivory frame* finely pierced with scrolls and a couple in a garden. H.t. 27,5 cm-H.F. 13 cm (good condition) N.B.: a handwritten note from the end of the XIXth century, from the former owner, is attached.
