The joys of the great outdoors, circa 1750 Large folded fan, opening to 180 degrees, known as "full flight". The double sheet of skin lined with paper and painted with gouache of a country scene. On the left, a roaster is walking towards a vegetable merchant. In the centre, a couple is playing under the eye of a housekeeper guiding a child's first steps. On the right, a woman is attracting him by pulling a caged bird on wheels. Reverse: large country landscape. White mother-of-pearl frame very finely pierced, sculpted, engraved, gilded, burgundy, and enhanced in colour and varnished with a decor of gallant scenes, loves and birds. H.t. 30,2 cm - H.f. 14,8 cm (restorations and small lacks) In a 19th century case covered with fawn leather with gilded iron decoration.
