The fainting of Esther, circa 1730-1740 Folded fan, the sheet of skin, mounted in the English style, and painted of Ahasuerus listening to Esther's intercession on behalf of the Jews. She faints in the arms of her handmaidens. Delicate border mixing fruits and flowers. On the reverse, a dreamy woman and a child. Ivory frame* finely pierced and engraved with a central vase and foliage decoration. The head carved in oak acorn. The profile carved in Hungarian point. H.t. 29,5 cm-H.F. 16,8 cm (worn)
