Replica of a piece of furniture ordered in 1811 from Bissardon, Cousin and Bony for the bedrooms of ministers and high-ranking officers in Versailles, garnet silk damask with crowns of roses and small rosettes bristling with palmettes inscribed in a diamond-shaped network of foliage. Total length of 23 m in 57 cm width on 6 cuts: 1.9 m, 1, 18 m, 3, 45 m, 5.40 m, 5.40 m and 5.70 m and two chutes. Not used during the Empire, this damask was used until 1849 for various building sites, notably in June 1818 for the furnishing of the King's bedroom in the Tuileries.
