Jean Demosthène Dugourc, Pompeian dancer, cut-out and re-embroidered figure, lampas commissioned in 1797 for the wall hanging in the ballroom of the Casita del Labrador in Aranjuez, geometric cartouche applied to pale green satin, with a border of foliage and four palm leaves at the spandrels embroidered around the edges. Mounted on a wood frame fire screen, (back braid), 47 x 32 cm. The Musée des Tissusde Lyon preserves a sheet of screen from the foyer of the same set, (inv. 24804 /1 and / 2).
