Long cashmere shawl, probably made by Laurent Biétry, Paris, circa 1860, large black reserve surrounded by the ends of two large heraldic fleur-de-lys motifs furnishing the slopes. Fine cream edging drawing the outline of a large four-lobed cartridge. Cashmere weave in cut weft, fringed selvedges bearing the woven initials LB, (holes on the selvedge), 345 x 160 cm.
