Pleasures of the outdoors, Europe, circa 1750 Folded fan, the double skin sheet painted with riders out hunting. On the right, a musette player entertains a young lady, while on the left, a man serves a young woman a drink. Reverse painted with a riverside landscape animated by peasants. Butterflies, birds and country symbols on the sides. Mounted in white mother-of-pearl, pierced, burgued, engraved, silvered and gilded with a gallant scene and foliage. Height 29.5 cm (wear, accidents, missing parts)
