LARGE PORCELAIN VASE. Chinese work for Vietnam, 19th century. Of baluster form with an elegant rotating decoration in cobalt blue on a white ground of figures in a lively landscape. An apocryphal Qianlong six-character mark in cobalt blue under the base. (Hair on neck). H. 45.5 cm. Provenance: former collection of Empress Nam Phuong, née Jeanne Marie-Thérèse Nguy_x0001_n H_x0001_u Th_x0001_ Lan (1913-1963), wife of Emperor Bao Daï (1913-1997), given to Colonel Terron, then passed down through the generations.
