ÉCOLE FLAMANDE DU XVIIe SIÈCLE. ATTRIBUÉ À DIRK WYNTRACK (16 - Lot 298
ÉCOLE FLAMANDE DU XVIIe SIÈCLE. ATTRIBUÉ À DIRK WYNTRACK (1615-1678). Scene of a Dutch interior. Oil on metal, preserved in a fine carved and gilded wood frame. Good condition. Sight: H.: 60 cm - W.: 57 cm. Frame: H.: 82 cm - W.: 80 cm. Provenance : Collection of an American amateur living in France acquired in the late 1950s from Parke-Bernet in New York. Biography: Dirck Wyntrack was a painter of the Dutch Golden Age. He is famous for his still lifes and landscape scenes. His collaboration on certain works with Jan Wijnants (1632-1684) or Joris van der Haagen (1615- 1669) has led some historians to confuse their work. Reference: Wyntrack's works are held at the Louvre (INV 1970; MR 1087), the Rijksmuseum (SK-A-2682 and SK-A-2304) and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, which holds a group of six works, including a still life (??-2250).
