Coral beads, Europe, circa 1860 Marquise" folding parasol, champagne-colored silk cover edged with bobbin lace braid, embroidered with red thread to emphasize the outline of the flowers. The cover is studded with coral pearls. Silk pongee lining. Folding ivory handle, with bramble effect, studded with large coral nails. Carved ivory tip finished with a coral scroll. Eight whalebone baleen plates, 27 cm. Total length 64 cm Weight 270 gr. (restoration) All umbrellas and parasols containing ivory, whale baleen or rhinoceros horn are issued with an intra-Community certificate, permit K, allowing them to circulate in Europe. These will be issued to purchasers.
