Set of 3 saucers and 1 caviar dish: 1) Gien earthenware sauc - Lot 448
Set of 3 saucers and 1 caviar dish: 1) Gien earthenware saucer (unmarked, "G" debossed for 1854 or 1884), with orientalist decoration in blue, central marquis crown (Harcourt family according to other pieces with this decoration). A few chips on the rim (diam.: 11.7 cm). 2) Gien earthenware saucer from 1854, with Rouen decor marli and central blue alliance arms of M. Gilbert de Solérac (1806-1891), Cavalry officer in the Royal Guard, married in 1833 to Melle de La Haye d'Ommoy (1812-1879). Good condition, one small chip on the marli (diam.: 14.5 cm). 3) Gien earthenware saucer (1869) with rich Rouen decor and blue floral garland, central covenant arms in the same color of M. Martin d'Ayguevives de Malaret (1820-1886), diplomat, married in 1846 to Melle de Ségur (1827-1910), lady-in-waiting to Empress Eugénie. Good condition (diam.: 15 cm). 4) Gien earthenware caviar dish, serrated rim, wavy faux marli richly decorated with a garland of flowers and central covenant arms in blue of M. Le Gardeur de Tilly, married in 1867 to Melle Girard du Demaine, known for having vitriolized the face of M. de Tilly's mistress. Fairly good condition, with a faint chip at the edge (11.5*13 cm).
