CAVALRY SABER. Russia, early 20th century, Nicholas II period. Wooden and gilt-bronze handle engraved with the Emperor Nicholas II's cypher, slightly curved steel blade with three gutters by F. W. Höller, Solingen, acid-etched with the Emperor's cypher on one side and the Romanoff imperial eagle on the other, black leather-covered wooden scabbard with gilt-bronze fittings and attachments. Weathered, as is. Blade: L.: 81 cm. With scabbard: L.: 96 cm.
