L.: 43.5 cm - W.: 34 cm. History: Piotr Stolypin was Prime Minister under Emperor Nicholas II from 1906 to 1911. Considered one of the last great statesmen of imperial imperial Russia. Concerned with the condition of peasants, he undertook major reforms, before being assassinated in Kiev on September 18, 1911. This reform was intended to give the peasants what they had not received with the abolition of serfdom in 1861, which had freed them, but without transforming them into owners. Deeply involved in Lithuania, whose family owned a large estate in Kalvarija, he organized the first farmers' assembly in 1900, and it was on this occasion that he was presented with this document holder, in gratitude for his involvement in Lithuania.
