Female saint in carved limestone, rough back. Standing and s - Lot 13
Female saint in carved limestone, rough back. Standing and slightly haunched, the saint has an oval face, fine hemmed eyes, pinched nose, small, tight mouth and long neck. Wavy strands of hair protrude from the short veil, a flap of which returns in front of the chest and passes over the right shoulder. The dress is covered by a mantle, one flap of which is held by the right hand, forming tiered pleats on the front and a wavy fall on the right side. Rhenish school, 14th century H. 64 cm. (small accidents and slight restoration)
