Statue in bronze representing Henri IV as Jupiter, represent - Lot 140
Statue in bronze representing Henri IV as Jupiter, represented standing, an eagle at his feet, holding thunderbolts in his hand. Late 17th-early 18th century. H. 34cm Our bronze is inspired by the model created by Barthélémy Prieur (1536- 1611), where the sculptor identifies the figure of the King with the ancient models, thus making it possible to assert the monarchic authority.
