Carreau de dentellière, le Puy en Velay, end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Tile or cushion of lace-maker of the French region of Puy en Velay with still its two pious images on each side, painted gutters with openwork edges imitating lace and decorated with metal tassels with bright colors, stamped with various forms of which bees, fish, heart, stars, flowers and leaves. These ornaments were often added by the lacemakers of Puy en Velay on their tiles but are rarely present on the tiles that have reached us. We enclose about fifty turned wooden spindles and six lace boxes, one of which is for a collar labeled "Georges KASSAB & Cie CRAPONNE" on the reverse side (gutters and their tassels in good condition, wear to the waxed cloth and to the roller).
