Pair of torches with owls in chased, patinated and gilded bronze, the base with a large frieze of palmettes, the shaft in patinated bronze rests on three lion's paws, it is surmounted by three owls with spread wings supporting the tap. Empire period Attributed to GALLE. At Galle's in August 1799 was a pair of owl torches. A pair of torches of the same model appeared in 1807 at the palace of Fontainebleau in the 2nd salon of the Empress: a pair (torches) in copper sheaths with round claws and owls gilded in matt gold, height 29c. Remains in place in 1810. H. : 28,5 cm
