Renaud and Armide, ca. 1760 Folded fan, the double sheet in skin, mounted in English, and painted with gouache of the knight Renaud under the spell of the magician Armide, surrounded by lovers. Small landscape with a barrier on the reverse. Fine and original mounting in white mother-of-pearl pierced, engraved and gilded with two large volutes framing a child crowning a young woman with flowers under the eye of her lover.
