Vive, Vive le Roy!, circa 1793 Rare folded fan, the double sheet of paper engraved in bronze green with an important text in English on five columns, on both sides. The text is entitled "England since the conquest", and summarizes in a few sentences each century of the history of England since William the Conqueror until 1793. It begins with the words "After the defeat and death of Harold, William, duke of Normandy, surnamed the conqueror, ascended the throne of England". Mention on the bottom edge of the sheet: "Entered at Stationers Hall", "London Published Aug 10th 1793 J. Cock & I.P. Crowder Wood St Cheapside"; "Engraved by S. J. Neele 352 Strand". Wooden frame without decoration. H.t. 28 cm-H.f. 16,5 cm (wear, restorations)
