The golden apple, circa 1700 Folded fan, the double sheet in skin, painted of Pâris offering to Venus the golden apple. He designates her as the most beautiful of women, under the gaze of Minerva and Juno. A numerous assembly attends this recognition in a seaside landscape. Rich floral composition on the reverse, mixing tulips, roses and carnations in particular. Ivory mounting* pierced and engraved with characters among volutes. The plumes carved with a flower and two characters, and enhanced with mother-of-pearl plates. H.t. 27,5 cm-H.f. 15,7 cm (wear, lack, restorations)
