. Weaving test of a precious velvet ordered for the second salon of an apartment of honour at the Château de Versailles, woven by Bissardon, Cousin and Bony, 1811-1813, chiselled and cut blue velvet on a yellow satin background with gold lamé, lacunar decoration of a cartouche with a radiating fleuron and foliage, 109 x 58 cm. Not used during the Empire, this lamé velvet was mainly used for the coronation of Charles X in Reims on May 29, 1825 for the King's Cabinet in the Archbishop's Palace. The Mobilier national has preserved three tops of the ployant and the coordinated lengths of the borders (Inv. 23).
