École FRANÇAISE du début du XIXe siècle In one interior: Baroness Charlet, née Alexandrine Tardivet du Repaire, and her granddaughter, Mme Le Bastier de Théméricourt, née Caroline Tassin de La Vallière. Watercolour and graphite, on paper 6 x 8 cm. Alexandrine Tardivet du Repaire (1787-1862) married Théodore, Baron Charlet (1785-1859) in 1809, they had two daughters: Alexandrine Eugénie (1809-1839), Alexandrine Augustine Clémentine (1812-1906). The third and last child of Alexandrine Eugénie and Alphonse Prosper Tassin de La Vallière 1796-1880, Caroline (1837-1917) married René Le Bastier de Théméricourt in 1860. Owners of Château de Théméricourt in Vexin, which is still in existence, they had two daughters and their living descendants included members of the following families: Le Rouge de Guerdavid, Marin de Montmarin, Pinon de Quincy, Remy de Cournon, Besseyre des Horts, Bussy, Bürki, Champs de Saint-Léger, Tenant de La Tour, and others. Provenance : From the attic of the Countess de X... (born around 1930), a member of a family of enlightened amateurs, having assiduously attended the distinguished sales of the Hôtel Drouot in the years 1880-1910.
