Four large embroidered handkerchiefs, 1st half of the 19th century. In hand-woven linen very finely embroidered with plumetis and sand stitch and hemmed with Valenciennes handmade bobbin lace: One extremely finely embroidered with supple bellflowers along the borders and figured MD in one corner, and one with a well-structured border of florets and medallions adorned with Alençon-type needle fashions (good condition for both, some foxing or small stains) One with a decoration of roses in full bloom and buds in each corner (very nice condition) And one with a flowery basket and cartouches in spread threads very finely embroidered with various stitches in each corner (good condition, rare small accidents)
