Borders, Gauze stitch, needle, Belgium, 2nd half of the 19th century. Two large flounces, one of which is a supple sheaf of foliage and flowers, delicate garlands of fuchsia flowers, large exotic flowers and roses with petals detached at the edge, wire mesh cartridges of fine fashion. Cream cotton, 3.10 m x 20 cm (good condition, a few small holes scattered, slight freckles on the border) and another densely worked flounce with sprays of fuchsia and wide riverbank of medallions adorned with various fashions and large wire mesh cartridges of fancy fashions, roses festooning the border punctuated with a twig of rose with detached petals. Ivory cotton, 1.90 m x 16.5 cm (good condition, a few small holes)
