GOLD CORSAGE BROOCH. By FABERGÉ, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908. Hexagonal in shape, decorated with a translucent rose-coloured enamelled plate on a guilloche background of spokes, applied to the centre of the imperial eagle of the Romanoffs set with a diamond rose. The border is decorated with a finely chiselled garland of laurel leaves. Good condition, missing its pin on the reverse. Title stamp: 56, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908. Goldsmith's mark: not visible. Inventory number: 1421. Height: 2.5 cm, width: 4 cm. Gross weight: 10 grs. History: this brooch was offered by the Imperial Cabinet of Emperor Nicholas II in May 1903.
