GAUTIER D'AGOTY Jean-Baptiste (1738-1786). Queen's benevolence. Black engraving with etching works, based on a painting by the artist that has now disappeared. Beautiful proof dedicated to Madame la Comtesse de Provence, with title and legend at the ends reporting the famous event of October 13, 1774, when the queen, accompanied by the Countess of Provence and Choiseul gave all her care to the wife of the winegrower Grimpier who had just been wounded by a deer during a royal hunt. The print was presented to the king and the royal family on October 5, 1776. Good general condition. H. L.: 54, 5 cm - W.: 62, 5 cm.
