PRESENT PRESENTED BY QUEEN ALEXANDRA OF GREAT BRITAIN TO THE EARL OF ROSEBERY. Round in shape, with martin varnish decoration, lid decorated under curved glass with the monogram A.R. (Anna Rosebery) under a gold crown. Turtle-shell interior with a gold medallion engraved with the inscription "A.R. from the princess of Wales, Ju. I. 1901». Missing as is. French work from the 18th century, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. H.: 3.5 cm - Diam.: 7.5 cm. Provenance: gift given by Queen Alexandra of Great Britain (1844-1925), when she was Princess of Wales, to Duke Archibald Primerose, 5th Earl of Rosebery (1847-1929). Then preserved in her descendants.
