PHILIPPE VIII, DUKE OF ORLEANS (1869-1926). Coloured lithograph, representing a portrait of the young prince seen in profile, bearing at the bottom of the document the inscription: "Prison is less harsh than exile. For the prison is still the land of France, Clairvaux, 14 March 1890", followed by his autograph signature "Philippe duc d'Orléans", preserved in a modern natural wood frame. Frame: H.: 35 cm - L.: 25 cm. Provenance: Offered by Nicolas Lecocq, pilot of the royal family, to Madame la Comtesse de Paris (1911-2003).
