Two banners, Stranded Threads, Italy, 17th century. Headband in Spread Threads with a reserve of hand-woven linen canvas and embroidered with garnet silk, one with a mirror decoration of a vase between two fantastic birds alternating with a tree of life with acanthus leaves, the ends ending with a small frieze embroidered in garnet silk, Dim. Approx. 69 cm x 16 cm (good condition, rare small stains) and a cut-out of a linen cloth, decorated with cross-embroidered acanthus leaves, Dim. 42 cm x 12 cm (good condition) Two Italian borders dating from the 17th century, hand-woven linen cloth embroidered with a red coloured-silk, one showing two birds with a stylised vase with alternating motif of tree of life. Dim. 69 cm x 16 cm (good condition a few little stains) and one with acanthus leaves Dim. 42 cm x 12 cm (good condition)
