Concord and Renown, ca. 1770-1780 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in English, and painted with gouache of a shepherd and two shepherdesses entertaining themselves with musical instruments and scores. On the sides, treated in silver (oxidized) with golden highlights, allegories of the Renommée on the left and the Concorde on the right. Reverse: a branch of red carnations. Ivory mounting finely cut, pierced, engraved and gilded with small medallions on a pink background and trophies. Metal clasp. H.t. 28 cm - H.f. 13,2 cm In a case covered with green paper, the interior in pink paper (18th century). With the label of the Parisian fan maker Duvelleroy dating from the 19th century.
