Eight feet in bronze tops. Sheath uprights topped with scroll brackets connected by two "X" spacers. It opens on the front with seven drawers and a broken leaf. The last decade of the XVIIth century saw a notable transformation in cabinet making. The austere forms are adorned with marquetry giving them a lush appearance, giving rise to "ceremonial" furniture. The motifs are directly inspired by the register of the ornamentalist Jean Bérain (1640 - 1711). At that time, he produced many decorations which will nourish the decorative arts in ceramics, tapestry and, here, furniture.
